Dave says: 'I caught this beauty during an evening session from Bedgebury Estate Lake, near Goudhurst, which is a Cranbrook Angling Club water. The weight was 18lb 7oz, beating my previous best from here of 14lb 13oz.
The bait was a 20mm + 14mm popup Mainline Active8 boilie on a snowman rig.
The following day I lost a monster which steamed off into the centre of the lake and I could do nothing with it. I've now had 7 blanks since then, so I must be due a fish soon!
I don't think the hot weather is helping.
Hopefully in September the lake owners will allow 24hr fishing and move the car park close to the lake because at the moment the restricted times and very long walk is putting allot of anglers off.'
