Bramall Builders battle on the bank

The Bramall Construction Group recently raised over £1,400 for the British Disabled Angling Association

Social housing experts Bramall Construction Yorkshire went head-to-head with its counterpart from across the Pennines in a regional fishing battle to help raise money for the British Disabled Angling Association (BDAA).
The competition at Browning Cudmore Fisheries in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, netted over £1,400 as Bramall North West (based in Salford and Liverpool) battled it out with Bramall Yorkshire (based in Rotherham).
The day proved to be such a great success that the teams have decided, ‘hook, line and sinker’, to make it an annual event.
Bramall Construction, part of Keepmoat plc, is a leading regeneration and construction specialists which looks to help the local charities and local communities within which it works.
The competition was eventually won by Bramall Construction Yorkshire, who received a trophy for their hard work after raising £910 for the BDAA. Meanwhile Bramall North West raised an impressive £490.
Dave Moxon, Senior Site Manager at Bramall Construction Yorkshire, said “At Bramall we love to fish no matter which side of the Pennines we come from.
“We take our hobby for granted when many disabled people can’t get so easily involved in the sport. Thankfully the BDAA help people with disabilities to really enjoy their fishing and enjoy life.
“We’re really pleased to be helping this special charity and we’ve had such a good time we have decided to make it a yearly event. What better excuse for a relaxing day out on the river with colleagues and friends.”
