Congratulations go
to the Worksop Juniors who have won through to the national stages of
an NFA tournament following a fine win over Barnsley on their own Brampton
Canal waters on Saturday. We would like to clarify
that our email address ROACHPOLE10@AOL.COM needs to be in upper case. We also ask that all match results must reach us by Sunday evening to be entered into the column the following Friday. Through the Grapevine Roger Green has informed
us that a 19lb 8oz common carp was caught from the first bay at Woodsetts
Pond by Jim Hall using sweetcorn hook bait on the feeder. Retford AA will be
running evening matches on Woodside Lake every Tuesday and Thursday through
the summer months. Johnny Hunt and Brad
took the new landlord of the Woodend, Alan, for his first attempt at beach
fishing off Bridlington. The Worksop United
Club match will take place on Sunday the 8th May. Please contact Malc
as soon as possible before Saturday the 7th if you are interested in fishing
this match. Raffle tickets for
the Blue Bell Wood Childrens Hospice Match are on sale at the Guardian
Office, Gateford Angling, Worksop Angling Supplies, Bulldog Barbers, Lazy
Days Diner at Harworth, Snack Attack on Gateford Road, Go Baits and Ken
Wards. Tight Lines all - and roll on the summer!
