2007 review
The year started of with very good fishing from the start. The very mild spring had the fish feeding in large numbers.

In the matches the Spitfires (A) was looking to retain the Plumb-it Challenge and John Hurly (Spitfires B) was defending his crown as King of the Pond.

John Hurly got to the finals by wining the first qualifying event and the year was looking good for him. As April went into May the weather took a turn for the worst and the fishing went down hill fast. The secret bait that worked so well for John in the Saturday opens stopped working as the fish went off the feed, and June was getting closer all the time.

As part of their plans to retain the Plumb-it Challenge title, the Spitfires A used the Saturday opens for practice to good effect getting 2 anglers in the top 3 every week and things was looking very good for them.

Part 2 next week

This weeks prospects. Do not look good, for most of the week the pond has been frozen, and with frost forecast for most of next week it looks that this will continue.
