Sherwood Fishery will be hosting a qualifying round of the Browning Youth Masters on the Holmedale lake on the 24th July 08
Draw for pegs will be at the cabin at 2pm and fishing will be from 3pm - 7pm, cost per angler will be £12, Pre booking is a must, please ring the fishery on 07721316334. The final is held at Cudmore fishery Stoke on Trent on Saturday 30th August.

The top 2 both opted to fish the method feeder because of the gale force winds, Jason White drawn at 19 cast his feeder baited with corn tight to the island catching 30 carp - 5lb steady all match, weighing in 78lb 4oz. Just sort of winning Jason Thomas cast his feeder and pellet to the lily pads and finished with 20 + carp - 7lb and a total of 74lb 2oz. 3rd placed Roy fished the pole and paste down the margin for a net of carp - 7lb

Carl said that he had had a fantastic day fishing a pellet feeder and pellet cast to the island despite loosing 14 fish at the net and a 6lb carp jumping out of his keepnet, he did manage the land 31 carp - 8lb winning his first match at the fishery with a creditable 123lb 1oz. 2nd place went to Gateford Angling boss Geoff Mawby he fished a small method feeder and corn cast to the lily pads for 20 carp - 5lb. 3rd placed John Darby fished pole and pellet to return a mixed net of roach and crucians - 1lb and carp - 4lb.

3 carp - 5lb and a handful of skimmers on the pole and pellet was enough for Lee to win the match on this sunny flat calm day. 2nd placed Geoff Crozier had 7 small carp on pole and corn from the side of the lily pad in peg 55.
